A self-initiated landing page design for a yoga studio—designed to evoke relaxation, clarity, and approachability. The goal was to create a digital touchpoint that immediately connects visitors to the calm and grounded experience of yoga, while presenting classes and offerings in a clean, inviting way.

Stage 1: Research & Style Exploration

Surveyed wellness, yoga, and studio brands to understand visual trends, tone of voice, and user expectations in the fitness/lifestyle segment. Identified elements that communicate openness (space, soft colors, nature imagery) and trust.

Stage 2: Brand Strategy & Visual Identity

Developed a visual style that supports the yoga studio’s values—peace, balance, wellness. Selected soft color palettes, calming typography, calming imagery. Ensured that the brand’s vibe is consistent with what clients experience in-person.

Stage 3: UX & Wireframing

Mapped out the key landing-page sections: hero, class offerings, schedule, testimonials, call-to-action. Created wireframes to test hierarchy, content flow, and ensure that key information (e.g. how to sign up) is clearly visible and easy to find.

Stage 4: High-Fidelity Design & Refinement

Built polished mockups using the visual identity. Focused on atmospheric imagery, whitespace, and typography to set tone. Ensured CTAs stand out but feel integrated and gentle, not aggressive.

Outcome:

The landing page design creates a peaceful and welcoming first impression, aligning visuals and content in a way that mirrors the yoga studio’s ethos. It demonstrates how subtle design choices—color, spacing, tone—can foster emotional connection. The project sharpened my skills in visual storytelling, brand ambiance, and landing-page optimization.

Reflections

This project was a chance to hone in on designing for emotion and first impressions. It taught me the power of atmosphere in design—how layout, imagery, and style can communicate mood even before someone reads a word. It reinforced that clarity in structure (UX) is just as important as the aesthetic feeling (UI), especially for wellness or lifestyle brands where tone is so central.
