A self-initiated project where I designed the full website experience and brand identity for a rental cabin business. The aim was to translate the feeling of calm and connection with nature into a simple, trustworthy, and visually consistent digital experience.

Stage 1: Research & Insights

Explored the short-term rental and hospitality landscape through competitive analysis and visual research. Identified key opportunities to stand out through clear communication, emotional storytelling, and a minimalist user flow.

Stage 2: Design Strategy & Vision

Defined the brand’s core values around slow living, nature, and simplicity. Created a design strategy that balances usability with brand storytelling, ensuring each design decision supports a cohesive experience.

Inspired by Norway’s majestic fjords and Scandinavian design traditions, FjordCabin was created to offer more than just a place to stay—it’s a haven where every detail, from architecture to amenities, invites guests to slow down and enjoy life at nature’s pace.

Stage 3: Prototype Development

Developed wireframes and interactive prototypes focusing on a seamless browsing and booking journey. Prioritized intuitive navigation, clarity, and visual hierarchy to enhance user confidence.

Stage 4: Visual & Brand Design

Established the brand’s visual identity, including logo, color palette, and typography. Designed high-fidelity website mockups that convey warmth and authenticity through natural tones, spacious layouts, and immersive imagery.

Outcomes

The final design successfully translates the brand’s vision—simplicity, calm, and connection with nature—into a clear and engaging user experience. Through this project, I strengthened my end-to-end design process skills, from defining a brand strategy to crafting high-fidelity website designs that communicate both function and emotion.
